PERSONAL

The person behind rune.ch is Christoph Studer (aka. gigof, wruk or wrukproek) with support of the most important person Séverine. My birthday is 25-dec-1979 and I like music, motorcycles and coding. My musical interests are mainly electronic music styles (such as: house, electro, drum 'n bass, dub and hip hop) but I do also like classic music (i.e. Grieg, Tchaikovski and Rachmaninow) and most of the 80ies hits. My favourite motorcycles are Kawasaki naked bikes, but I like everything fast. In the past years I learned a lot of coding languages, but nowadays I do use them instead of learning them :)

Some milestones in my life:

1983 >> I listened hours to electronic SID-music of C64/128 games,
1984 >> First contact with programming BASIC on a Commodore C128
1987 >> I began to take classic piano lessons
1994 >> I learned to code Turbo Pascal and had my first contact with 80x86 assembler
1995 >> First own electronic music creation with Fasttracker 2.0 (Triton)
1996 >> First hardware synthesizer: a Roland XP-50 workstation (still working)
2000 >> Student at ETH Zurich at the departement of Informations Technology and Electric Engineering
2002 >> I bought my first motorcycle, a Suzuki RG-125 Gamma (1990)

GENERAL INFORMATION

rune.ch started as a electronic music project in 2000 and was founded by Christoph Studer. Up till now, rune.ch is not limited to produce electronic music, there are also a big interests in coding/programming sound effects (like VST audio plugins) or other electronic audio creation.

In the last years rune.ch did also some small webdesign projects but I decided to stop this activity due to the lack of time besides my studies. The webdesign projects based mainly on site-programming (XML, HTML and PHP) with some simple designs around it :) To get some ideas what I did, visit the rune.design section.

The rune.ch audio production studio gets more and more professional and the sound quality is still improoving. But as I am still a student at the ETH Zurich, there isn't not much time left besides the studies for music. If you like to view some pictures of the rune.ch studio or listen to some music click here.

I hope to put up some monthly updates, instead to yearly ones :)
